Volunteer Opportunities

This year our location has CHANGED! We will be working at William Davie Park - just two minutes from my home! We have outgrown my driveway and although it is bittersweet it will allow us to grow. After turning into the park, follow the signs to find us!

We will work 2 days this year! Tuesday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 14th. See below for details.

Day 1 9:30 to 12:30pm and 1:00 to 4:00 pm

  • Processing Flowers; Opening, trimming, removing leaves and hydrating 

  • Organizing and Unpacking Gifts

  • Unpacking Vases

  • Assembling Gift Bags

Day 2 - We will have three volunteer opportunities for Tuesday, February 14th.

  • Arranging Flowers and Tidying 8:30am to 11:30am 

  • Arranging Flowers and cleaning up 12:00pm to 3:00pm

  • Delivery - Multiple Windows 

    • Each driver should expect 3 deliveries. Please sign up for a designated delivery area that you can drive to and deliver.  We want to be able to serve widows in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE, COVENANT NOT TO SUE, AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT

I, the undersigned, desire to work as a volunteer for Valentine’s Day Widow Outreach Co. (the “Widows Outreach Project”) during its 2024 Valentine’s Day Event (the “Event”) in February 2024. I understand that all or part of my work as a volunteer for the Event will take place at the William R. Davie Conference Center located at 4635 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte, North Carolina (the “Property”), as well as other locations in and around Charlotte, North Carolina.
